Attractiveness: the Cevital Group is setting up a unit in the Ardennes

9 November 2018Attractiveness: the Cevital Group is setting up a unit in the Ardennes During the President of the Republic s visit to Charleville-Mézières, the Algerian Group Cevital announced plans to set up a water treatment system production unit on a site vacated by PSA. TweeterPartagerEnvoyer Thanks to Cevital s investment in the Ardennes, several dozen jobs are set to be created over the short term in the Charleville-Mézières region, with up to a thousand expected in the long run. This demonstrates the appeal of France s North-East which, although hard-hit by the successive crises over recent decades, has turned a new leaf by harnessing the benefits of innovation.

This is a success story in which the State has had its part to play. Both directly, since the Government has been working with Cevital for several months to secure this deal, and indirectly, through all the measures taken by the Government to boost the competitiveness of French businesses: improvement and stabilisation of the tax and legal landscape, reform of the labour law to give employers greater flexibility and development of training.

Cevital is Algeria s largest industrial group. It employs 12,000 people in the electronics, steelmaking, household appliances and construction sectors.
